A meeting of ten architects involved in the restoration of Hodonín after the devastating tornado of June 2021 was organized in Brno by the Karel Komárek Family Foundation (KKFF). The event was attended by representatives of the city of Hodonín, the Agency for Nature Conservation and Landscape Protection, and other organizations. Discussions focused on the current state and progress of individual projects, as well as the challenges that come with a comprehensive transformation of the area. The professional aspect of the meeting was enriched by architect, publicist, and educator Osamu Okamura.

The educational and advisory center Otevřená zahrada welcomed around 50 people today who have been involved in the restoration of an area exceeding 70 hectares in the northwestern part of Hodonín over the past two and a half years. As part of the Urban Transformations program, the Karel Komárek Family Foundation initiated the event to enhance mutual awareness among those engaged in the revitalization of eight projects.

The meeting provided insights into the eight areas undergoing revitalization. These included the House of Nature and its garden, the Sports Complex U Červených domků, Park U Červených domků, the area in front of the Integrated Secondary School of Hodonín, the park in front of ZŠ U Červených domků, the Bažantnice suburban forest park, and the Children's Town. Part of the morning session also featured a presentation by the city of Hodonín.

Hodonín Mayor Libor Střecha noted that one of the projects, the House of Nature, has already been completed, and along with its garden, it will officially open on June 1.

The event also featured a presentation by Osamu Okamura, former dean and chairman of the Artistic and Scientific Council at the Faculty of Arts and Architecture at the Technical University of Liberec since 2019. Addressing municipal representatives in particular, he spoke about modern approaches to urban planning, emphasizing a human‑centered perspective.
