Volunteering primarily focuses on our Environmental pillar, specifically the Garden Transformation Program. In this program, we help transform kindergarten gardens into stimulating environments where children can freely develop and strengthen their connection with the world around them. These gardens become spaces for exploration, interactive learning, and child development in direct contact with nature.
There’s Always Plenty of Work to Do in the Gardens
Kindergartens gratefully welcome help because garden work never ends. Gardens require regular maintenance and expansion with new features. In addition to routine tasks such as replacing sand, weeding, preparing gardens for winter, or mowing the grass, last year volunteers also created unique elements like a willow teepee, an outdoor kitchen for children, a herb bed, and an outdoor pond.
Volunteering as a Corporate Benefit
Nowadays, more and more companies offer their employees the benefit of a volunteer day. You can spend this day with your colleagues as a team, enjoying fresh air outside the office. We welcome not only teams but also individuals or smaller groups. You can even invite external collaborators or friends!
In 2024, volunteer days organized by the Karel Komárek Family Foundation were attended by teams from companies like KKCG, Allwyn, Aricoma, MND, Mindsquared, and Sazka.
Doing Good While Exploring Beautiful Corners of the Czech Republic
Our foundation has supported garden transformations all over the Czech Republic. A volunteer day is an excellent opportunity for a trip to different corners of our country! You can find the list of projects you can support as a volunteer here.
Feel free to reach out to our colleagues Míša or Marek, who will be happy to help you arrange a volunteer day.
The joy of doing good is unparalleled. Thank you for your willingness and support, and we look forward to seeing you at our volunteer activities!
