The Kennedy Center
In 2018, we supported the construction of the new building, The REACH, at the Kennedy Center in Washington. This modern structure provides multifunctional spaces where visitors can naturally immerse themselves in the world of art. We contributed 5 million USD to the project. Through our involvement, we are permanently bringing Czech cultural footprints into the Kennedy Center.

The REACH
Thanks to our support and the contributions of other prominent philanthropists, The REACH complex was created, comprising of interconnected pavilions that house three halls. The spaces are multifunctional and serve as venues for various events, including classrooms and a specialized educational lab. Visitors can also enjoy pleasant moments outdoors in green surroundings, either alone or with others.
Millennium Stage
In 2018 and 2019, we contributed to the Millennium Stage project, which provided young and emerging artists with an opportunity to perform. Among the ten Czech performers were Jan Čmejla, Vladivojna La Chia, Jakub Třasák, Lukáš Sommer, and others. The foundation supported the Millennium Stage project with a contribution of 100,000 USD.
Dvořák Dreams
We also supported an exhibition that presented the work and legacy of the world‑renowned Czech composer Antonín Dvořák through a multidimensional performance. The exhibition combined visual art and music and utilized artificial intelligence. It was created by the acclaimed Turkish American media artist, director, and pioneer of data aesthetics and machine intelligence, Refik Anadol.
International Committee of the Kennedy Center
In 2018, Mr. And Mrs. Komárek became chairpersons of the institution whose goal is to enhance the Kennedy Center’s international program and support global collaboration in the field of arts. Since 2024, Karel Komárek has been a member of the board of The Kennedy Center Foundation. Since 2014, the foundation has supported the international cultural program of the Kennedy Center with a total of 1 million USD. Members of the international committee, long‑time supporters of the center, include successful entrepreneurs and artists.
